The State Library
The State Library includes more than a million books and caters to a wide range of literary interests. Part of our heritage is a rich collection of rare and valuable editions from the 17th century through the 19th century, including books on local and scientific studies. Every year, the library receives more than 10,000 new books and 300 periodicals. More than 40,000 patrons use the library services each year, including those visiting remotely via the Internet. The library offers various activities that inspire a love of books and reading, especially for children and teens.
