Hatha yoga originally refers to any style of yoga which consists of physical exercise. Here it is used to describe a more traditional type of yoga which aims to achieve a deep inner relaxation and increase of prana (life force) through asanas (physical postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), mudra (hand, eye and face gestures) and meditation. The pace of this class is slower and more restoratative. It allows the student to incorporate each asana with a deep and strong mental focus as to reconnect with the body and quiet the mind. This class is suitable for all levels.

Vinyasa yoga is a fast paced practice, with a series of postures linked together and synchronised with breath. Continual movement from one posture to the next provides a cardiovascular benefit, increased strength, flexibility and endurance. The pace and the sequence of the class is variable, offering diversity - in keeping with the translation of the word vinyasa, which means 'variation within parameters'.
